“I don’t know what I’m more excited about…the medal or these free chips.”

“I don’t know what I’m more excited about…the medal or these free chips.” Megan’s first words after we are reunited post half marathon. 🙂

  • Me: 1:55:16
  • Megan: 2:01:07
  • Kasey: 2:03:24

Pretty good, right??? 🙂

Especially, given all the HILLS. HOLY CRAP. There were so so so so so so many hills. This was the hardest race I have ever run before.

Check out the elevation chart here.

Here’s some pictures pre-race…

Pre-race eats: banana and oatmeal

Getting ready!

My emergency contact=Dan 🙂

Pace tattoos

Getting ready to start!

And we’re off!

After many hills…many downhills…and a few more uphills…we’re done!

Post race eats included a banana and mini whole wheat bagel and gatorade. They also gave out lots of chips. BBQ thins were consumed once back at the hotel. I was CRAVING salt!

We did it!

Time to relax!

I have another post on our post-race eats…coming soon! The internet at our hotel is SUPER slow so it takes a while for me to get a post up. Boo Radley.

Also, I’m stuck in Austin until tomorrow night! 15-20 inches of snow in Minnie will do that! 😉
