Week 9 Austin Training

It’s Week 9 of Austin Half-Marathon Training!

Week of workouts

Monday: 3 miles + weights

Tuesday: Off

Wednesday: Nate’s class (speed work)

Thursday: 5 miles

Friday: 10 miles (training plan calls for 15 k race)

Saturday: 3 miles + Erica’s case

Sunday: Jackie’s spin class

It’s supposed to be 38 degrees on Friday?! Is that possible? Do I need to get my shorts out of my summer storage?? šŸ˜‰

In other news…

Jackie’s spin class was rockin’ this morning. I was a little disappointed by her choice in music…it was SUPER techno. Not a fan. But I still got a great workout! And that’s what’s important.

Breakfast: Egg scrambler. Pretty standard.

In the mix

  • 1 egg + 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup black beans
  • TJ’s fire roasted peppers and onions
  • La Tortilla Company ww tortilla

And some coffee. Also pretty standard.

I’m off to volunteer for Clownfish! Clownfish is a GREAT organization–it helps kids with disabilities learn how to swim. I’m helping serve at their annual luncheon.
